Veere's work contradicts itself beautifully, from room to room.

It is refreshing to see a mountain home that isn't stuffed with antlers, heavy velvet and dark colors. Like Roehm's project and the above house- you can create an equally inviting mountain retreat with an all white palette or a sleek, modern slant- like this home:

Veranda- Old Fort Bay, Bahamas

This home was in the May/June issue of Veranda- here are some pretty rooms that didn't make the magazine but worthy of view. I love the geometry of the bright orange shelves against the soft pink walls.

The British Calm

The British have a great sense of style and an innate spirit that doesn't appreciate excess or loud attention. Their rooms are chic and comfortable even when they are in a modern style. Here are some rooms by The Chic Shack, which is a furniture and accessory house in London. The store is dripping in linens and fitted furniture and if you stop by for a visit, you will surely be offered a cup of hot tea.
